Patchworkceramics

This time I want to show you my favourite mugs which I got from my sister as a combined birthday and christmas present some time ago. The mugs are big and fits well for a good cup of tea, hot apple cider or a cup of nice hot chocolate, with cream!
I saw them in an English magazine and told my sister, who lives in England, about them. The ceramists name is Kate Hackett. Her studio is in the garage next to her house, a tiny studio. My sister e-mailed with her and ordered these mugs for me! When I visited my sister in spring 2006, we had a cold but lovely day driving down to Tangmere, near Chichester, Sussex, to pick up my mugs. We spent an long time in her studio, looking at her things, deside what to buy. She is a nice and friendly lady, and she had a long talk about ceramics with my sister who is a ceramist to! Decorating the products is a long and accurate process.
And I couldn't resist this jug, so..........! I wanted to buy me a bowl to, but had to think of how much I was allowed to carry with me on the plane! :- (
I use them only for special occaisions, like having friends, sharing the same passion for quilting as I do, to visit!
